Volunteer Openings at Senior Nutrition Program
Delivery Drivers
We currently have enough seniors on the waiting list to start a new delivery route. Delivery drivers are needed to provide meals to homebound seniors in the area. We have 27 routes in communities from Nipomo to Paso Robles and Los Osos to Cambria. We ask our volunteer drivers to commit to one day a week for approximately one to two hours depending on the location of the route. Drivers provide their own car, insurance and gas; however if someone wants to deliver but really can't buy their own gas we have some mileage reimbursement available.
Dining Room Attendants
We are currently seeking 3 people to attend to our seniors needs while at the dining room. There are 9 lunchroom sites located around the county that help heat, pack and serve meals to seniors 5 days a week. Volunteers are asked to assist with packing food, serving seniors, cleaning up and sometimes a little paperwork. These positions require a commitment of 1 day a week for 1 and a half hours.
